I am a Full Professor at the Technical University of Lisbon, School of Engineering (IST

), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am a researcher in the ALGOS (Algorithms for Optimization and Simulation) group at INESC I&D Lisboa

, a research institute associated with the Engineering School of the Technical University of Lisbon, IST.

I am a Research Affilliate and a member of the Cadence Research Laboratories from Cadence Design Systems. Cadence is the world's leading EDA (Electronic Design Automation) company.

I am also a Research Affiliate with the Research laboratory of Electronics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology working with Prof. Jacob K. White <white@rle-vlsi.mit.edu> and the VLSI-CAD group.

My interests are in the area of Computer Aided Design of VLSI Circuits, with special emphasis on numerical methods for circuit simulation problems and parallel algorithms and applications.

I am a member of Sigma Xi and a Senior Member of the IEEE.
